| ♥ Shimla : |
Dotted with tall elegant Deodars, exuding cool and fragrant breeze, and abounded in awesome panoramic vistas, Shimla is the place with unprecedented natural charm. Once a Summer Capital of India, it has lost none of it's magic despite being the most coveted tourism destination for so many years, and one can still have a tryst with untainted and unsullied ambience that enlivens, invigorates and fascinates. Every season in Shimla is special - while some are more interested in luxuriating in the snow that unfailingly wreaths the hill station on every Christmas and New Year, others flock the place in quest of a consummate place to give the scorching sun a slip. And once you are in Shimla, all you observe around is an unearthly repose that lightens your heart. Having a stroll on a summer evening at the Mall, the main promenade that meanders along the top of the Ridge, one feels an otherworldly enchantment that becomes a sweet reminiscence for life. A stiff climb takes you to the Jakhoo Hill, the loftiest point in Shimla that overlooks amazing views of the town. For those in quest of a secluded place, Summer Hill is the destination that presents a pleasant promenade and enchanting views. St. Michael's Cathedral and Christ Church are the sweet reminiscence of British architecture. And Kufri, though not a part of proper Shimla, is a must-see and especially so in the winters for skiing and other snow-frolics. Shimla is forever young; it beckons you again and again, and you never feel jaded.
