Ezhavas is renowned as one of the largest Hindu communities based in Kerala. They are supposedly descendants of Villavar who was the founder of the prehistoric Tamil Chera Dynasty that had ruled South Indian locations. Ezhavas are generally Hindus; however, many converted to other religions like Sikhism or Christianity during various movements around the 19th century. Ezhava Matrimony may therefore be done according to their religion’s rituals. An Ezhava Marriage is traditional in nature and conducted by taking the blessings of family, relatives and dear ones.
